Hello everyone,

As Firestorm grew over the years, we have put all our resources into improving our realms in various ways, one of them being delivering the best and most actual content that will please every player on our servers. 

As you know, many are expecting us to update to 7.2 patch or even 7.2.5 but we have decided to go for 7.3.5 due to it being the last patch of the Legion expansion. It has all the spell balancing, content and new systems we can use for a stable progression from 7.1.5 content into the latest content without having to update again.

Over the past weeks, our Quality Assurance Team has been testing every new feature that will be available to you, to ensure the best quality. You will be able to enter our test realm (PTR) as soon the major systems are fully tested, we expect to open it to the public two or so weeks before the actual release date which is currently scheduled to the end of April, this way our community can also give us the proper feedback on the content available.

Now that we mention it, let’s take a look at the new content and changes!

• New allied races; Nightborne, Void Elf, Highmountain Tauren, and Lightforged Draenei are unlocked in game, no requirements needed, you can read more here.
  
  
   
• Recruit a Friend system with many great rewards! We’ve been bumping our heads for a long time to try and make it work, and now it is here! It's time to invite your friends and receive some awesome rewards. More information about the Recruit a Friend system will be posted later.
  
  
   
• Class fixes; the Quality Assurance and Development Team have been hard at work on these. Overall there has been over 500 fixes to classes, talents, artifact traits, honor talents, etc. We can't wait to show you what has been done and we hope that you see a huge improvement from 7.1.5 patch.
   
• New Spell visuals; enjoy these amazing new animations and visuals
   
• New Artifact Traits, once your artifact hit level 35 you will unlock a new tier! You can read more about the traits here. (retail requirement doesn't apply on Firestorm).
  
  
   
• New Artifact Knowledge system, players will start at level 26 artifact knowledge and each week 1 level is added to everyone up to a max of level 40.
   
• Global base Item level increased for World Quests and Battleground, item level will now be 860 (up from 845) 
   
• News Feed; We hear you guys, we know that most of you want to be informed when the server is under maintenance, breaking news, or even events, latest fixes, that’s why we have implemented a dialog-box on the login screen, in place of the regular retail new feed.
  
  

• Full world and dungeons scaling; With this change your journey in Azeroth will be never the same again, you can now level up anywhere you want, receive rewards and experience based on your level. Simultaneously as you level up, so does the world around you! Explore the world as if you've never explored it before: new missions, and adventures await you at each crossroad! • Karazhan splitting into lower and upper parts to allow Heroic and Mythic ! One of our best dungeons will be now available for everyone: whether you are a hardcore player doing Mythic and trying to push that 10 key or a new player doing Dungeon finder Heroic, everyone will find something that suits them.
   
• Updated difficulty on dungeons, specially affecting Mythic affixes. Health and damage have been increased matching the 7.2 values on retail! The item level gear drops have also been increased!

• New Mythic Affixes:
  • http://www.wowhead.com/affix=11 (level 4)
    • When slain, non-boss enemies explode, causing all players to suffer 10% of their maximum health in damage over 4 seconds. This effect stacks.
  • http://www.wowhead.com/affix=13 (level 7)
    • Creatures have a chance to summon an Explosive Orb at a nearby location that will explode, inflicting damage of 50% of the player’s maximum health.
  • http://www.wowhead.com/affix=14 (level 7)
    • Periodically, players will Quake, inflicting damage of 20% of the player’s maximum health and interrupting spell casts of themselves and nearby allies.

    • While below 90% health, players are afflicted with Grievous Wound.
       
  • The Overflowing affix has been removed.
  • The http://www.wowhead.com/affix=7 affix range has been reduced to 30 yards (was 45 yards).
     
• Legion Assaults fully scripted; Azsuna, Val’sharah, Highmountain and Stormheim. World quests and scenarios are available, invite two friends or queue and join other champions defending the Broken Isles against the Legion.
   
   
   

• Arena season 2; With all the class fixes mentioned above we are expecting class balance to be a lot more enjoyable to everyone.
• Player versus Player Templates and Spell Multipliers are now fully matching retail.

• Broken Shore with the full quest line, rares, achievements, world quests, the Sentinax, and the possibility of Nethershards farming.
  
  
• Mage Tower Challenge; Seven challenges depending on your class and specialization. 
   
• Class Mounts; Unlock your class mount in Mage Tower challenge!
   
• Artifact Quest Lines; We have been working on those and the Artifact Lord will be saying goodbye once we have at least one of each class released.
   
• Legion Pathfinder; It's time to take off! Why walking when you can fly? But be ready to dedicate some time walking around getting those achievements needed!
   
• Cathedral of the Eternal Night; will be released on all difficulties and Mythic .
