Greetings Firestorm!

The official release of Patch 11.2.0 - Season 3 is getting closer every day, and we have decided to open a PTR, which is a Public Test Realm. This allows us to test the new client's stability on the server with a large number of players connected at the same time and playing the same content.

For your info, the character copy will be made shortly before the PTR starts (on May 14), so it's perfectly normal if your gear, appearances, and so on don't reflect your current live characters exactly.

Important note: The client will actually run on version 11.2.5, but the content will be from patch 11.2.0, and class balance will reflect 11.2.5.
Additionally, progress made during the PTR will not be saved, this is a test realm, and its progress will eventually be wiped and PTR characters will be deleted.
If you don't want to participate in the PTR, you can continue playing in Dornogal and wait the officialy patch 11.2.0 & Season 3 release.

UPDATE YOUR TWW CLIENT TO VERSION 11.2.5

You won't have much to do! An update will be available through the launcher. You just need to select the "PTR 11.2.5 (The War Within)" version and click to update the client!

Even if you don't plan to participate in the PTR, updating to client version 11.2.5 will still be mandatory once the patch 11.2.0 goes live. You won’t need to download the full client again, just update your current client.
If you update to version 11.2.5 to access the PTR, you can still play in Dornogal realm (11.1.5)

CONTENT AND STATUS

Let's talk a bit about the content and what Patch 11.2.0 has to offer:

NEW ZONE: K'ARESH: K'aresh is the new zone introduced in patch 11.2 with plenty of new content and activities:
 

• Ghost of K'aresh Campaign: The Knife's Edge - fully available
   
• Other storylines and side-quests:

  • Sojourner of K'aresh - available
  • Ba'eth's Request - available
     
• World Quests - available
   
• New renowns
  • Raid Renown Track: Manaforge Vandals - available
  • The K'aresh Trust Renown - available
     
• Weekly Bonus Objective: Devourer Attacks - available
   
• Outdoor Activity: Warrants - Available
  Complete the requirements to access and picked up from Constable Zo’ardaz’s call board in Tazavesh, these quests have you gather materials to unlock an imprisoned threat and then defeat it.

NEW OUTDOOR EVENT: ECOLOGICAL SUCCESSION: A new activity where you work with Ve’nari and specialists to restore K’aresh by collecting animals from Azeroth and helping them thrive in eco-domes over several weeks.

After finishing Chapter 4 of the K’aresh campaign, players can start Ecological Succession by picking up The Oasis from Om’talad near the Tazavesh Inn. This begins a short introductory questline that introduces The Oasis, your new eco-dome.

This event is ready to be tested.

RESHII WRAPS: The Reshii Wraps cloak is unlocked during the final quest of Chapter 3, “The Tabiqa” It's a new artifact cloak with the unique ability to allow players to transform their bodies into an energy form will be used throughout many activities, including the open world, the new dungeon, and even the raid.
The new cloak is ready to test!

NEW OUTDOOR ACTIVITY: PHASE DIVING: The reshii wraps let players transform into pure energy, allowing them to see the world through ethereal eyes and access a special phase of K’aresh with exclusive activities.
Upon completion of the chapter 3 and obtaining the cloak, players gain access to the questline Diving Into Phase Diving and after completing it, they will unlock the phase diving.
This activity is fully available and ready to test.

NEW DUNGEON: ECO-DOME AL'DANI: The new dungeon is ready to test on all difficulties.

NEW RAID: MANAFORGE OMEGA: The Manaforge Omega raid will be available on LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.

CLASS REWORK & NEW TIER SETS: As we mentioned, class balance will follow version 11.2.5. Hero talents have also been updated. They let you control your abilities more effectively or focus more on healing or damage, depending on your preference. However, there's still some work ahead to keep adjusting it.

SEASON 3:

• MYTHIC : 
  • The new dungeon pool is ready, and the testing carried out by our QAs has been generally positive.

  • Check points, a new feature now available and ready to test.

• PvP: The BGs, wargames, skirmishes, arenas, and all PvP features are working. Fixes are still being applied, and we expect to receive more feedback during the PTR. 
  This season also introduces a new PvP island called Vanquisher’s Wake in K’aresh, where players with War Mode enabled can battle each other and complete the weekly Sparks quest.

NEW DELVE CONTENT & NEW NEMESIS:
This patch introduces a new Delve in the Azure Vaults within the Dragon Isles. With the Reshii Wraps, you can unlock unique challenge gateways that lead to bosses or special challenge rooms.
This update also adds a new Delve’s Journey and a new nemesis, Ky’veza.

PROFESSIONS:
Professions also have new updates:

• Some professions will have new recipes and there are new gathering materials local to K'aresh: K'areshi lotus, phantom bloom, desolate talus and K'areshi Resonating Stone.
   
• Tailors can now purchase Pure Fiber gems from NPC Om’sirik in Tazavesh and craft them to socket into the new artifact cloak, the Reshii Wraps:
  • Pure Chronomatic Fiber
  • Pure Dexterous Fiber
  • Pure Energizing Fiber
  • Pure Precise Fiber
