We had communicated a few days ago our desire to merge all of the Mists of Pandaria realms into one realm. We've decided to extend this policy to merge the Warlords of Draenor realms into one as well. With the release of Legion, we noticed a drop in the older expansions. We wish to respond before this trend is problematic proposing a realm with a strong and dynamic population. We found with the Legion realm bringing together players from the same expansion allows the realm to be more sustainable in the long term, more alive and reduced maintenance for the development team.

The Mists of Pandaria realms (Rassharom, Taran'Zhu, Hellscream, and Menethil) will be merged on November 14th during the day. The new realm name will be Garrosh.

The Warlords of Draenor realms (Blackhand, Grommash, and Sombraluna) will be merged on Tuesday, November 15th during the day. The new realm name will be Gul'Dan.

The merge of realms will take a relatively long time, merging the databases as the databases are large. Compared with the nicknames that could be found twice, characters with duplicates nicknames will be renamed to "#RENAME" and offered a name change to either resume their original name or choose a new one.

Regarding the guild names that could also be a problem, we plan to add the name of the original realm for those few guilds. You will need to contact us to see to change the guild name if you wish. 

As in Legion, you will not have access to the "world" channel, there will be local discussion channels: world_en, world_fr, world_es. Game Masters will moderate these chat channels.
