Hello, I know the report is already made, but the one I mention doesn't give enough data and didn't test on the base damage as it should and it's just based on the description of the skill when he applies mastery, so:
I've been working on this, if you get naked completely, vampiric touch hits 6911, and the base mastery is 20% and base intelect is 7350, so we can say the base damage in that moment of vampiric touch is 6911, after that if you apply mastery you got to calculate the plussing mastery not the base, and indeed, makes less damage than it should as you apply more mastery.
I applied on the beginning 7,52% of mastery with a trinket that has no intellect on it, so we do:
6911x 1,0752= 7431, and ingame the vampiric touch hits 7313, not a big impact but I keep putting mastery, this time another trinket without intellect.
Now my mastery is on 34% (20+13,99%), if we do this:
6911x 1,1399= 7878, and ingame hits 7660.
That number gets further from the correct amount, but what happens if we keep plussing? This time I used rings, which again, don't apply intellect.
Now my mastery is on 53% (20+32,60%), if we do this:
6911x1,3260=9164, and ingame the vampiric touch hits 8753, the more mastery you apply, the further gets from the number it's got to do.
I guess the base 20% mastery damage also could have a wrong amount, which it isn't in my hands to test it, because I can't remove the base mastery that the class provides.
I leave the images of my testing process, but I can't share the wowhead links since retail is already on prepatch and the mastery and also the formula of vampiric touch have been changed.
Thank you for the time and I hope this helps in any way.
