The formula is kinda wrong if you add dampening:
The foruma right now is like: absorb*(battle fatigue+damp), so a 100k absorb is in arena (without dampening) 40k and at 40% dampening the 100k absorb becomes a 0 absorb.
The foruma should be more like absorb*battle fatigue*damp, so a 100k absorb should become 40k in arena and at 40% dampening 24k absorb.

There's no written evidence on Wowwiki about this spell but i know that's not affected by Battle Fatigue, only by Dampening.

The problem is that it absorbs 0 at 40% dampening.
Every healing/ damage absorb (necro is healing absorb, not affected) is affected by battle fatigue (60% less healing/absorbs).
The first video: DK got 447k hp in blood presence, the mage got like 380k probably, the absorb is like half of it so like 180-200k, there was no dampening active. In season 13 you can do 400k Life Cocoon out of PvP zones, in PvP zones 200k.
The hotfix of 100% on Life cocoon : you should verify it. SP *11 instead of 5.5 i think. Everything is on wow head.
i'm pretty sure it is affected by battle fatigue.

Not only Life Cocoon, but all absorbs are affected by this. Every absorb becomes 0 at 40% dampening.
This should be fixed for good now.
