As some of you might already know, we recently discovered that one of the most populated world-wide Vanilla private servers, Nostalrius, is going to close due to Blizzard. More than 150.000 active players will lose their home since the server will close the 10 of April at 23:00 server time.

Well, we are not going to allow this to happen!

We are proud to announce that Firestorm is going to pick the same Vanilla database from Nostalrius, and all player accounts with all characters, guilds, mounts, items and all the progress that everyone had on that server and we are going to open a Vanilla International realm (called Sulfuras), in which all Nostalrius players will be able to connect back with their accounts. Also, we will allow Nostalrius players to merge their Nostalrius player account with a Firestorm account, so they can continue their journey on our WotLK, Cata, MoP or WoD realms by just transfering their characters if they want, and they will be able to access the webpage and the forum features.

All Firestorm accounts will be able to connect on the Vanilla realm and everyone will be able to enjoy a fully Blizzlike Vanilla experience with the most and prepared realm ever scripted in the world!

We will perform this actions as soon as Nostalrius team releases their core and the player accounts. We will keep everyone informed about the progress of this on this post.
