Hello OP, you are right! That Boss is a complete mess!

On top of that, if you can trigger the Boss and yes you can, by hitting the boss form the other Side of the basement( room of Atumen), the boss runs back to the basement at the third phase and vanish at the stairs! So you CAN NOT KIll the Boss at all!

Fix it in BFA server, im trying to kill him but it's impossible..
I don't know how it works, but it should be simple, the bug is in the fact that the dragon should fly during the scripted dialog between him and Medivh and then end up on the platform.
But the dragon is "flying" on the ground level the whole time so he won't come to the platform. (Therefore he is only pullable through wall in the lower level, then he respawns up)
Just change the position of the dragon on Y axis or something, make it fly.
The Dragon bugs out during 3rd phase cause he is going back to his spawn point (I don't know why?), which is at the bottom of the area, because he is not flying in the first place...
When he then comes to the stairs down he resets because he is out of the Boss arena.
Either make the dragon fly or make him not return to the spawn point during phase 3.
(Or just remove the false scripting and just make the boss spawn without dialog at the right place)
Yes, that's the problem. I wish the staff can fix this, because i think it's easy to fix the spawn point and the phase that the boss restarts. I see this problem in BFA realm, it would be great if you can fix this in Legion and BFA.

what was the fix I tried taking all the crystals and came back to nightmare bane but couldnt find the boss at all cause the 5th crystal is not been able to pick up
