Zone/Instance: DaemonHunter starting area - Mardum
Description:
When flying up to Tyranna's command center, right after dismounting the Felbat, I got teleported/moved to a huge flying rock in the south-west.
Twice. Then two other DHs showed up. Its pretty high probability.
Steps for reproducing the issue:
Start the quest http://www.wowhead.com/quest=39663/on-felbat-wings
Speak to http://www.wowhead.com/npc=96653/izal-whitemoon
Fly up to Fel Hammer. This part is already shaky: your character is not in the center as usually, but in the bottom part. This gives a better view, and seems intentional. I guess this is a feature made by blizzard. But it's not 100%: the camera seems to jump for a short moment (the character is displaced) ca. every few seconds.
Still, i landed on the destination rock next to the quest finisher http://www.wowhead.com/npc=97297/cyana-nightglaive
I clicked on her to finish the quest, gossip pops up, aaaand....
Cyana and the Fel Hammer disappear, and I start falling.
Maybe falling through the rock, but I can't tell as there were no visual clues, just rocks everywhere.
There was no loading screen, no spell cast, it happened almost instantly, like a GM move. Oh maybe it was a bored GM :-D
Instead of falling to death, I ended up on a deserted rock. Nothing around.
This nice deserted Robinsons's rock is in the southwest of the zone, visible on the map as an entity separate from the mainland.
It is higher than the mainland, so you can jump and sail down to the starting area.
Finally managed to get through for the 3rd time. I don't know, if this helped, but upon landing, I started moving and jumping immediately towards the building.
This might be a positioning or bounding box issue, therefore the detailed ;-) report.
Reporting the exact same issue. So essentially I cannot finish the quest at all.
No worries Daston, I could finish it! Read the report to the end:
"Finally managed to get through for the 3rd time. I don't know, if this helped, but upon landing, I started moving and jumping immediately towards the building."
I'm really not sure what helped: jumping/moving or pure luck, so keep on trying.
And thank you for making the effort to search the bugtracker and to report the issue, now I'm sure it was not a one-time anomaly.
