Greetings, everyone!
Our adventure continues, and we can't wait to show you what's next in The War within!
Patch 11.1.5 will be released on April 13th, 2026!
HORRIFIC VISIONS REVISITED
Horrific Visions are back! Step into twisted versions of our capitals, Stormwind and Orgrimmar, that are now fully overtaken by N'Zoth's corruption.
In these instanced scenarios, you'll need to complete objectives while carefully managing your Sanity meter, if it drops to zero, the vision collapses and you fail!
Here's what's new and what's back in the revisited Horrific Visions:
DORNOGAL HORRIFIC VISION HEADQUARTERS
Press "M" to open the map of Dornogal city and look for the Horrific Visions mask icon, this is your central hub for all Vision activities. Here you'll find the Hourglass of Horrific Visions, a talent tree for unlocking run perks, vendors, and the NPC needed to enter Horrific Visions.
But, how to Enter Horrific Visions?
After completing the introductory questline, "Horrific Visions Revisited", you can use the Portal to Horrific Visions Revisited in Dornogal to queue. Starting a Horrific Vision places you in a corrupted version of Stormwind or Orgrimmar, which changes weekly.
SOLO OR GROUP QUEUE
You can enter Horrific Visions solo or with a group.
A new helper, Construct of Soridormi, can join you as a Tank, DPS, or Healer. Since it isn't affected by Sanity loss, solo runs are much easier to manage.
FACELESS MASKS
The classic Horrific Vision Masks are back, increasing difficulty while unlocking better rewards.
These include:
- Mask of Pain
- Mask of Dark Imagination
- Mask of the Long Night
- Mask of the Burned Bridge
- Mask of the Daredevil
Three new masks are also introduced:
Each new mask adds its own effect to the Visions, changing how they play out and offering fresh challenges for players.
RUNE ENCHANTS
One of the standout features returning with Horrific Visions is a new form of Corruption, not the old gear stat from Battle for Azeroth, but powerful helmet enchantments often called Rune Enchants or Corruption Enchants.
These are slot-specific helmet enchants that grant strong procs and effects during combat. They replicate classic Corruption effects, such as Twisted Appendage, Infinite Stars, or Echoing Void, without the old drawbacks, it means not having Corruption stat and no penalties.
Rune Enchants add a strong layer of power customization beyond Horrific Visions, bringing back the feel of classic Battle for Azeroth Corruption procs without the hassle of managing a debuff. Because they can be used on high ilvl helmets outside the Visions, they also influence Mythic , PvE, and open-world content throughout the season.
These runes and their effect are temporary. They only work during TWW Season 2 and deactivate when the season ends.
How to Unlock the Rune Enchants?
To gain access to these enchantments, you need to progress through the Horrific Visions activity and complete two quests:
- Borrowing Corruption Quest, rewards access to Lesser Runes.
- Requires:
- 500 Displaced Corrupted Mementos
- 8 Black Blood Residue (from Horrific Vision chests)
- Requires:
Once completed, you can buy the Lesser Runes from Augermu in Dornogal for Mementos.
- Enhancing Corruption Quest, unlocks Greater Runes (more powerful versions)
- Requires:
- 1000 Displaced Corrupted Mementos
- 8 Black Blood Coagulate (dropped from Lost zone chests, usually after doing objectives).
- Requires:
After completing these quests once, the enchant options become unlocked for your whole Warband, meaning alts can use them too once unlocked.

NEW SCENARIO: NIGHTFALL
Nightfall is a new world event that happens every hour in Hallowfall. In this scenario, players will join tasks forces with the new faction, Flame's Radiance, to help defend the Arathi against the Sureki.
As soon as Nightfall starts, you'll get a bunch of small tasks spread around the area, such as freeing recruits from webs, destroying ballistae, and fighting Nerubians.

The final step gives you a quick pause before a one-minute wave of Nerubians, followed by their champion, Anub'Ranax, and defeating him ends the event.
After that, you can collect your rewards: crests, crystals, valorstones, reputation with Flame’s Radiance...
Also, each week you can pick up the quest The Flame Burns Eternal, which sends you into a Nightfall scenario. To complete it, just join the event and defeat the lieutenant boss at the end.
The quest is given by Mylton Wyldbraun and rewards:
NEW FACTION: FLAME'S RADIANCE
The Flame's Radiance is a new Renown faction introduced in Patch 11.1.5. It's a military force formed by Hallowfall's best defenders, they're united to protect the cavern from any outside threats
Their base of operations is located near the fields of Morgaen's Tears in Hallowfall, east of Mereldar. This hub houses the Renown Quartermaster and serves as the starting point for all major faction quests.
How to Earn Renown?
You can progress your Renown with the Flame's Radiance, you must first accept an intro quest in Dornogal that will take you to Hallowfall, where the main camp of the faction is situated at Morgaen's Tears.
You can earn Reputation through the following activities:
- Nightfall Scenario: Participate in the Nightfall scenario and complete the weekly quest: The Flame Burns Eternal
- Daily quests: Complete daily quests linked to Sureki and Radiant Incursions alongside the Flame's Radiance.
- Rares: Each day you can kill specific rares and gain Flame's Radiance Reputation.

Keep doing these activities each week, and you’ll steadily progress through the Renown track and unlock all the faction rewards.
SEASON 2 TURBO BOOST
If you've still got characters to fully gear up, or some trinkets that just won't drop for you, you're going to love and enjoy the Season 2 turbo boost in patch 11.1.5!
Here's what's coming up:
LIBERATION OF UNDERMINE DINNARS
A new weekly quest lets players earn Puzzling Cartel Chips, a special currency used to buy raid gear.
Where can I pick up the quest?
Located near the Great Vault in Dornogal, there’s a new objet nailed to the wall called "Bounty: Liberation of Undermine", where players can pick up the weekly quest.
The first week you complete this quest, you will be rewarded with 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips, in the following weeks you will receive just one Chip.
There's also a catch-up system that lets players who missed a few weeks complete the quest multiple times and claim all the pieces.
Important: You are limited to earning 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character, with each item costing 3 Chips, you will only be able to buy 3 items per character.
Where can I get my raid gear pieces?
Once you have 3 Chips, you can visit the dealer Consultant Wrexxle in Dornogal near the Great Vault and exchange three Puzzling Cartel Chips to purchase gear (trinkets, weapons and special items from the Liberation of Undermine Raid on Hero and Myth Track).
Keep in mind that you are limited to earning 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips per character, with each item costing 3 Chips, you will only be able to buy 3 items per character.
HERO AND MYTH TRACK INCREASES
Hero and Myth gear upgrade tracks have been extended to 8/8 (up from 6/6).
UPGRADE CURRENCIES AND WARBOUND-UNTIL-EQUIPPED GEAR DROP RATES
Crest caps are being removed, and Valorstones will be Warbound for the rest of the season. On top of that, Mythic chests will have double the chance to drop Warbound-until-Equipped gear. This should help players gear their alts more easily!
PROFESSION GEAR UPDATES
Crafted gear is getting a boost as well. Once the turbo boost begins, any items crafted with a Spark of Fortunes or a Gilded Augmentation Matrix will gain 6 item levels, bringing the new cap up to 681.
Upgrading Crafted Pieces During Season 2 Turbo Boost Costs 30 Gilded Crests Each
DELVE IMPROVEMENTS
Delves provide bonus Crests and Valorstones, along with improvements to Delver's Bounty rewards, Delver's Journey progress, and Brann's experience gains.
For Delver's Journey, players will see increases to their Delver's Journey gains from Bountiful Coffers, Hidden Troves, Nemesis Strongboxes, and at the end of a Delve.
