Interested in joining Firestorm's QA team? This form helps us understand your experience, motivation and testing approach. Please allow about 15-20 minutes.

After reviewing your application, we may invite you to an interview, followed by training and a trial period. Your answers are intended for the QA recruitment team. Do not share passwords or confidential information.

Your gaming and testing experience

Describe your actual experience. Previous QA experience is not required.

How long have you been playing WoW and Firestorm? Please also describe your experience on official retail servers. * What content do you play, and at what level? (Dungeons, Mythic+, raids, PvP, quests, professions, collections, etc.) * Which classes and specializations do you know well? Describe your hands-on experience. * Have you previously been a QA, tester or server staff member? Do you know anyone on the Firestorm team who could support your training? Answer "no previous experience" if applicable. * Have you used a Bugtracker or written a bug report before? Describe your experience and include an example link if you have one. *

Your motivation and QA approach

We want to understand how you think. Answer in your own words; we will discuss these scenarios in more detail during the interview.

How did you hear about QA recruitment, and why do you want to join the Firestorm team? * What do you think a QA's role is? What can you bring to the team, and what do you hope to gain from this experience? * Practical scenario: a quest grants its reward twice. How would you investigate the issue? Write a sample bug report with reproduction steps, expected behavior, actual behavior and the evidence you would attach. * You discover an exploitable bug that gives players an in-game advantage. What do you do, and who do you report it to? * A developer cannot reproduce your bug, or another QA disagrees with your report. How would you respond and communicate with the team? *

Training and next steps

Training covers QA tools, ticket writing, the Bugtracker, PvE testing and class reports. You will receive guidance and weekly follow-ups during your trial period.
